How Trade-in works

Trade-in is available for all HackMotion users with any previous generation sensor.

HackMotion Sensor 4 is low in stock. Shipments are expected on August 14th.

Your current sensor will keep working until you activate your new Sensor 4.

When you activate your new Sensor 4, your previous sensor will stop working. There’s no need to return it, you can recycle it at a local electronics facility.

When you trade-in for the new Sensor 4, your software package stays the same (Core, Plus or Pro). No need to purchase a new software license.

Frequently Asked Questions

Trade-in is the HackMotion sensor upgrade program for customers who already have a sensor. When purchasing a Trade-in, you will receive the latest generation of the HackMotion sensor for a reduced price. The new sensor will work with your existing license tier.

While the new sensor is on the way, you can continue to use your previous device. Once you start using the new sensor, the previously used sensor will be deactivated automatically.
Yes. Trade-in only changes your sensor. You will keep using your current account and license (Core, Plus or Pro) at no extra charge. Trade-in price is the same regardless of your current license.
To purchase the Trade-in, you need to have a HackMotion account which is already set up with a previously used sensor. During checkout, you will be asked to enter your HackMotion account ID, which can be found in the HackMotion app: Settings > Account information.

If the correct account ID is not provided during checkout, or if the account is not linked with a sensor, our fulfilment team reach out to you directly to help resolve the issue.
While your replacement sensor is on its way, you can continue using your current device.
Once you start using the new sensor, your old sensor will be deactivated automatically. You don't need to return it. Please recycle it at a local electronics recycling facility.

After deactivation, the old sensor can no longer be used with your or any other HackMotion account, cannot be resold as a functional HackMotion device, and is not eligible for future Trade-in offers.
No. While we are continuously working on improving our sensors with each generation, you can continue to use earlier versions of HackMotion sensors. All sensors use the same HackMotion app, so the same virtual coaching is available regardless of the hardware you have.
Trade-in can be purchased as long as you have a HackMotion account which is linked to a sensor. If the previous sensor has been lost, damaged or stolen, you can use the Trade-in offer to replace the sensor. After this process, the old sensor will be automatically deactivated.
No. Trade-in allows existing customers to purchase the latest HackMotion sensor at a decreased price, regardless of the previous sensor version or condition.
